The
Rainforest Retreat in beautiful Franz Josef Glacier is looking for fantastic
reception staff to help through the summer season. We are one of the largest
accommodation providers on the West Coast with 100 rooms ranging from
backpacker accommodation & motels to 5 star rated tree huts. We also have
60 powered campervan sites as well as the very popular onsite Monsoon Bar and
restaurant. We cater to just about every type of traveller and host a large
number of tour companies such as Kiwi Experience Stray Active NZ and Contiki
plus a whole lot more.
Set
on 6 acres of lush rainforest we have a big site with a lot going on!
Permanent Reception
staff are needed. Your role will be to assist guests
with phone internet and walk in bookings offer advice on local walks and
activities and promote the features of our park.
You
must be committed to offering great customer service and exceeding our guest’s
expectations. Be quick thinking and good at problem solving. Have a can do
hands on attitude. Be able to build a rapport with our guests from all
backgrounds and nationalities. We see the Rainforest as not just accommodation
but as a whole experience you will be expected to help achieve this.
Reception
duties will be your main role but you must be willing to help out in any
department if required.
This
is a full time position with flexible hours and days off as well as a fixed
hourly wage plus bonus opportunities. You will be given the chance to try many
local activities free of charge to gain knowledge of their products.

We have hourly jobs as well as contract rate jobs Hourly jobs are paid at the rate of $ 14.85 gross inclussive of 8% holiday pay depending on the type of job and the place of work.Contract job ( Piece rate )are paid as per the work to be carried out.When the jobs are on piece rates ( contract rates you will be paid only for the number of plant worked on and not for hours spent on the vineyard. The piece rates are inclussive of 8 % holiday pay .Minimum wage rate does apply.
Supervisors will be paid $19.00 per hour inclusive 8% Holiday pay Applicant should have multi lingual skills and should be fluent in English. Should have at least 1.5 years experiance in supervision and should be well aware of Health & Safety and Hazard management.
Fully furnished Accomodation with all the aminities at $ 130.00 per week per person and transport( pick up to work and back home after work ) will be provided at $ 5.50 per person per day. own transport prefered. We require hard working and energetic men and women to join our team to carry out work on our vineyards through out the year.
Experience is not necessary for the position of casual vineyard worker. Experience in vineyard work and multilingual skills are essential for the post of supervisor.
